Van Sidebars

We fit two main types of sidebar. They are very similar. 

Human nature means that when you buy something you will usually select the cheapest 
but the cheapest isn't always the best. Thus we offer 2 types of sidebar. The genuine VW one is available only on request as stocks are often limited. If you are a moaner or have high expectations of defeating metallurgical science best to go for the more expensive type. 

Guarantee 
All our side bars are guaranteed against corrosion for 12 months parts only 
All our black side bars are covered for corrosion and paint flaking for 12 months parts only
What wouldn't be covered is stone chips. Fitting mud flaps will reduce the damage caused by stones. The area liable to stone chips is the curved section of the sidebars
Also roads with lots of stones will cause faster damage. Its important to check the sidebars and touch in any chips regulary just like you would with the van. 

Meeting Your Expectations  
There is no such thing as bullet proof paint. If there was it would cost millions rather than be applied to budget sidebars. Be realistic. Black budget side bars are bits of metal that are painted and its quite feasible for them to be badly chipped and rust after literally weeks if you  go thrashing around gritty roads with no mudflaps and don't touch in the chips. You wouldn't go back to PC World because  your laptop doesn't bounce from the third floor but thats exactly what happens to sidebars every time you drive on a gritty road. 

Vanstyle Sidebars 
Most of the sidebars we sell are from Vanstyle. From September 2017 they are our sole supplier 
They are guaranteed against corrosion for 12 months parts only. 

Free Fitting Bridgend and Nottingham 
Vanstyle administer the parts only guarantee on the sidebars for 12 month however if you do have an issue Swiss and Vanstyle will fit for you free in Bridgend or at their depot in Nottingham. Its generally a two month wait for Vanstyle to fit as they are busy guys. 

Genuine Side Bars 
Covered for 12 months parts only across the UK through the VW Van Dealer network.
These sidebars are three to four times the price, but if they corrode or flake you can have the parts replaced free at your local VW Garage. They will ask for proof of purchase. They will still charge you labour so refitting is generally about £100 an hour to fit and fitting times vary 1- 2 hours often.
